My Entry To The Hyatt Hotel Contest :)
For hundreds of years, we did not see each other. Suffering in Mumbai would have been known only anecdotally by way of merchants. In 2009, technology has enabled us to see, reach and interact with people half a world away.
For the first time since the dawn of the ages, mankind has the potential to unite, sharing resources, perspectives, brilliance, and energies, as well as a common mission: to perpetuate and grow a world symphony where individual and cultural differences are valued, and the uniqueness and integrity of individualities are preserved- even as efforts are concerted to improve the human condition and expand opportunity for all. Truly, for the first time since the dawn of civilization, with cross-cultural understanding and access to a world of opportunity, we have the power to cure world hunger.
I would use 365 Hyatt hotel days to promote appreciation of the individual and cultural differences that contribute to our beautiful world symphony, and to foster a key source of energy that will sustain it: global economic opportunity.
I am joyful for a world where it is possible to learn from others, near and far! North America, Asia, Europe, Latin America, Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, and the Middle East- each a unique and fabulous contributor to the cosmos that is mankind.
